Serwah Attafuah

Serwah is a digital dreamer. Artist, designer, and musician, she’s obsessed with exploring the surreal through the afro-futuristically populated cyber dreamscapes and heavenly wastelands that she creates using Cinema 4D, on her ASUS ProArt Studiobook. She uses the Pro Art’s dial to easily flick, scroll and control layers and cycle between tools, making her process flow more smoothly and freeing her mind to imagine.
A blend of artistry and technical savvy, she lives at the edge of where art meets technology and commercialism. Her unique works have been commissioned by everyone from Nike, Mercedes Benz, and GQ to Charli XCX and Paris Hilton, creating everything from live motion experiences at the Sydney Opera House to NFTs auctioned by Sotheby’s.
Serwah takes her creative inspiration from anywhere and everywhere – From science fiction to pop culture and the 18th century greats like Fragonard and Watteau. Her work features and focuses on multiple themes, from ancestry and the neon glare of spring breakers to demons and a celebration of the LGBTQIA community and sex work pride.
With parents who are both accomplished artists, creativity is something that comes naturally to Serwah, quite literally in her blood and in her upbringing. It’s a culture and a community she has been around her entire life – and one that she now has an opportunity to bring together, share with and inspire through the ASUS Creator Xchange.

DAVE COURT

As Dave puts it, “I’ve been making stuff forever.” As a student of the arts, Dave graduated an honours degree specialising in painting. In the years that have followed, his art has progressed well beyond the covered canvas.
Saying yes to every new opportunity that came his way, because why not, Dave has explored his creativity in almost every medium, from painting, illustration, and installation, to murals, sculpture, video, photography, AR and VR.
At the core, Dave’s creative inspiration comes from free, process based experimentation, both artistically and technologically, pushing a medium to its limits to see just how far his creativity will take him. This interest in the collision between art and technology is what Dave loves about the ASUS VivoBook Pro. Innovations like the ASUS DialPad designed to support creativity – technology unlocking artistry.
During the lockdown, Dave taught himself how to use Blender to expand on his exploration in different mediums and is now shaping virtual worlds filled with art and creativity, driven by a desire to explore the crossover between the physical and digital world.
Dave is a big believer in the power of collaboration, as he puts it, “open collaboration and cross pollination.” That’s why Dave, is proud to share his work, knowledge, and talent with other like-minded creators through the ASUS Creator Xchange.

Jess Johnson

Jess Johnson

Art has transported Jess from New Zealand to New York and back again, and so much further in the increasingly complex fictional realm she’s been creating in her mind and on the blank page for many years.
Her worlds reflect her deep passion for science fiction, language, technology, and theories of consciousness. It is these passions that inspire her mesmerising world, filled with a meshwork of cultural symbology, humanoid clones, messianic figures, and strange alien runes.
She shares her love of creativity with childhood mate, fellow Kiwi, and constant collaborator, animator Simon Ward, with whom she shares a kiwi culture, interests, and DIY approach to making art. Even though they have worked remotely for many years, this connection has never faltered – the pair even using VR in some cases to collaborate in the same space.
It is Simon who translates Jess’s pen and paper artworks into digital animations. Her drawings are scanned and digitally reconstructed using the dual screen displays, touch screen capability and stylus on the ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo, and turned into moving, living, and breathing worlds. It’s a pairing of the traditional and the digital and between two creative minds in sync. Together, they have taken Jess’s world into the realms of installation, animation, music, fashion, and virtual reality.
It is her sometimes trans-atlantic creative collaboration with Simon, that gives Jess a deep appreciation of the power an open-sourced creative community can unlock and is why she is excited to have an opportunity to bring together creators across the world through the ASUS Creator Xchange.
